The men in the movie Stoker are like models they casted to basically play the types of shitty dudes you’d see in 70’s low budget exploitation films.

Basically I feel like there's a line between clear-eyed or tempered humanism and abject misanthropy that Oldboy blows straight past without a moment's notice and that decision undercuts any kind of moral it might try to convey. Stoker sounds very much in the same vein
