Yep. I don't like being told that homicide is just something that happens and you shouldn't do anything about it after the fact, and then that it's really none of my business unless I knew the guy.

I just lived there on Capitol Hill for 10yrs and also lived through crazy ass shootings on the hill before. I don't actually understand anything about what the problems in Seattle really are.

Then I'm sure you won't object that I leave the police abolition to the guys who can tolerate it for up to three weeks, and do not attempt the experiment locally, as I understand that my own community prefers homicides that occur in public be investigated and prosecuted.
