its just funny to think about how LF was just "the dirtbag left" ten years before that was even a thing, and now every single poster (with the exception of me and maybe one other guy) is a clock-punching, card-carrying wokester. so much for old times, lol

Really goes to show what about five or six well-placed wreckers can do. The Maoist pseudoconsensus that preceded it was fragile anyway but nobody was interested in figuring a way out of it

the "maoism" of LF was just the natural precursor stage to liberal wokeness, really. "class politics" totally disconnected from politics, or class, or anything, just a bunch of depressed failsons and scam artists trying to one-up each other.

It shouldn't have to be, though - it could just as easily be an endpoint to wokeness (as it kinda has been with 1619), you just have to look at how demobilizing it is even in theory and figure there has to be a way to cut the knot. That should have been the project imo
