      Honestly if Matt Taibbi is "more or less irrelevant" to a revolution after his work on financial instruments, the great recession, and the death Eric Garner I'm comfortable saying I'm out too.

      It's hard to overstate just how instrumental Taibbi was to getting the story of the housing crash and the financial crisis out there. To my knowledge the depth of his reporting was basically unmatched and no comparable mass-media narrative came out until The Big Short
