I'm not the biggest fan of masto but at some point all the non-NPCs will have to warehouse themselves there.

Yeah fair, you basically have to set up a private hellthread. You also can't turn off RTs. Maybe this stuff can be patched in somehow?

Changing dms has been on the burner for a while i think, basically the infrastructure it's built on doesn't really support it, so no one has done it to not break various gnusocial spinoffs since it'd be masto only. making public/ unlisted posts you can't boost should be possible
