The left believes that American workers are paid a premium of Iraqi, Vietnamese, Native, etc blood. The only way to get rid of this premium is to drop the wage below the global average. If you suggest anything that does not do this they consider you evil.
No cognitive dissonance: the reason the country isn't worth celebrating is that wages are too high.
