Why call it "successor ideology" rather than what it calls itself, "progressivism" or what it appears by its actions to be, identity politics (a form of Marxism motivated by racial animus, rather than class revolution)? It does amusingly evoke the inevitability claims of Marxism.
It doesn't call itself anything. It pathologically fails to recognize itself in the first place and attaches itself like a lamprey to a vast array of sub-causes, none of which have to do with the actual aims of the program.
