Metacritic was always fucked over by the 1-10 system and bloat in the journalism industry but contrast rotten tomatoes, which somehow seems to provide useful information even when a terrible movie gets 99 percent, and metacritic, where it just means nothing at all.
It is actually seriously alarming that media crit organizations have to completely cut off their userbase to maintain the flimsiest appearance of providing a service to consumers.
