These seem like natural questions to ask when forming racial theories. Not my game, but you can see how quickly things go from the good kind of racism to the bad kind.

In fact the strongest defense against this charge appears to me to be that people *aren't* expected to "believe" it at all, they are simply expected to defer to it. When you hold a set of beliefs you're typically encouraged to extrapolate from them at your leisure.
