There has been no update on Slate Star Codex/Times, right? As of now they're still planning on naming him, but his taking down the site has complicated things?

Other media outlets are supposed to cover stuff like this. It appears to be a breach of journalistic ethics. The only way they wouldn't is 1) industry solidarity 2) they agree with the decision. All of these papers are drowning so it's hard to belive solidarity would prevent it.

I can see that would put pressure on them to respond, but I doubt it will get much actual media coverage beyond people talking about it on Twitter.
