There's this common refrain you hear echoing in the background, though nobody will ever lay claim to it: "Those people can't read."
This was the entire point of voter outreach during the Bernie campaign as it was conveyed to volunteers. Which was probably a lie - didn't sway many voters, did harvest just a ton of useful data to hand off to Biden.
