      This behavior was rampant among high school and college kids on Tumblr, LJ etc 10 years ago. It was an abusive, shame based, childish status game back then, and no different now. To see it infecting the adult liberal elite is just wow. American left has indeed lost its mind.

      well, to be fair, it is still rampant among high school and college kids, only now some of them are in the wider world and infusing the same cancel culture values

      True. I just thought they would have grown out of it by now. That was my miscalculation... I look back at that time as a woebegone yet important life lesson, and seriously underestimated the continued participation by a growing crowd. 😔
