      I also think abolition sounds like a pipe dream because it is demanding a really fundamental restructuring of society away from the racially consumptive + punitive, and that is hard. And there may be clearer plans on some fronts, but not others. That is the nature of the project.

      It's not about an epidemic. It's about literally any interpersonal violence at all. One hypothetical incident breaks their slogan irreparably because there's no longer any way to respond to it.
