      Seeing aside all the controversies and subcontroversies, it IS pretty weird how in like 20 days we went from "NOTHING MATTERS MORE THAN CONTAINING CORONAVIRUS" to "Well, I guess we have given up on that whole containing-coronavirus thing"

      Still less than 1 percent of the population has had it, so that uncontrolled geometric progression that overwhelms all the hospitals is completely on the table and being facilitated by a bunch of states.

      Wuhan possibly got it worse than NYC (depending on whether you believe the CCP's start date) and it never really shut down. Same with Tehran. Plagues are kinda like that, even the bad ones.
