This is a modern, highly efficient state whose power has unquestionably come to rival that of the United States. It's bad enough to play out your Oedipal complex on the genuinely poor countries but how do you manage to make a victim out of a superpower?

at the time of the 6/4 incident they didn’t have real riot cop equipment or training and made extensive use of this excuse for why they had to use the pla. of course these days they have innumerable cops and get to fight all the strikes and protests they want without hassle
