Keep in mind that the police are crucial in determining claims of sexual and domestic violence. If they can't haul people into court, no process for the above will ever conclude. The name for the people who do this will always be police.

Everyone understands this, including the protesters, which is why they will be happy to leave the police in place if they cannot replace criminal justice system entirely and become the police.
