I don't think I've seen anyone defend the actions of the officer tbh.

Now Aubury isn't a great case either but there's enough reasonable doubt about what he was doing at the time to speculate that he earned some level of scrutiny and maybe he posed some kind of danger. That possibility just isn't open here.

Well with AA it wasn't Official Government Cops chasing him down and killing him on video. "There's a super racist DA refusing to prosecute a murder" is ultimately kinda a regional issue (that the FBI is equipped to deal with?) compared to "American cops are too violent"
