saw a Fox segment where they had an ex-NYPD "Dan Bongino" (g pronounced both ways?) got real bothered about how fucked up it was for several minutes while all hosts nodded in agreement. Partisan lines on this one are interesting, idk where it's going
You could say Trump set the tone in hopes of peeling off a few black male votes (consider that MN could be a swing state soon) but it seems more likely that people have the basic wherewithal to distinguish this from, for example, Ahmad Aubury.

Now Aubury isn't a great case either but there's enough reasonable doubt about what he was doing at the time to speculate that he earned some level of scrutiny and maybe he posed some kind of danger. That possibility just isn't open here.

Well with AA it wasn't Official Government Cops chasing him down and killing him on video. "There's a super racist DA refusing to prosecute a murder" is ultimately kinda a regional issue (that the FBI is equipped to deal with?) compared to "American cops are too violent"
