Funny to see this turn from you but it makes sense. Sweden's tactic turned out to be quite clever, given that other major countries were hit earlier: they figured mostly correctly that their citizens would learn from the intensive measures in other places.

Presumably they save a shitload just on the politics bullshit of closing and opening things. Swedes probably don't go to church nearly as much, though, which really seems to be a huge driver

Sweden has one of the worst per capita infection rates.

The "per capita" thing is what I'm talking about here. Absolute numbers/doubling times are more meaningful than proportions of total population until the disease starts hitting targets within the population that are already immune.
