I let one live for a while before moving on when I saw he had a centipede corpse in his web. I'm good to kill most uninvited household critters and when it comes to bugs they're generally only getting mercy if their corpse is an inconvenience.
That's just nature. Mosquitoes, ticks, leeches. Don't leave those little bastards alive if you have the option.
