Varg is truly a cautionary tale on cult leaders. You want your scene to value authenticity, you're going to end up m with a guy for whom authentic means 'compatible with D&D 3.5 modules and the silmarillion,' the only ones who're gonna get assassinated are his intragroup rivals
He looks really cool on paper, but he's never going to admit his whole life is dedicated to the science of being cool so the whole thing collapses under the weight of its own seriousness. Better to be Venom, let loose and have fun at the cost of being 'taken seriously'
