I don't know. To my knowledge I've never met anyone who actually follows him. In a broader sense I'm wary of attributing any part of left politics to the CIA that can be explained as an emergent result of existing forces

Like I'm skeptical that his work really added anything to our knowledge but then there are a ton of people like that on the left who still have cachet. You don't learn much reading Mao or Lenin either from what I can tell which leads naturally to a clerisy that interprets them
