Both Yang and AOC have managed to do what the establishment couldn't, take neoliberalism and package it in a way that's appealing to progressives and the left. Pete Buttigieg with "anti-establishment" branding.
I don't think Yang did that during his campaign and AOC has yet to be properly 'successful' in the sense of moving her cohort into control of the DNC

My communist friend, who should know better, consistently had him among his top choices. He could see that Warren was total garbage but not Yang. Some people's eyes and minds just glaze over once they hear "UBI."
