      Interesting. I would imagine that it is true for hospitals in places where there are few cases requiring hospitalization.

      Many (most?) states have shut down elective surgery, which is a really broad category including functional necessities like orthopedic operations or cataracts. If they're not seeing a NYC level spike business is probably pretty slow.

      Ambulances from the Midwest were photographed in Queens a week or so ago. EMTs at least have been responding.
