Fisher's (im)famous Vampire Castle essay was a brave but ultimately futile revolt against the left culture that was coalescing at that time, against an insular and frankly cruel form of communication. Its victory is more or less complete, even among those disposed toward Fisher.
"Disposed towards Fisher" only counts if they were with him when he was alive, imo

I was lukewarm at best towards Fisher's position when I only knew this essay. I know people who, to this day, claim to endorse it, but are essentially no different from your average idpol dullard.
