      That was never the proposal. You're making shit up. The intent has always been to use this as a stopgap until we can pinpoint the most effective newfangled antiviral, because this is cheap and available in generic.

          The breathless tone of the OP makes it sound as if a mad scientist is sacrificing a nursing home to his cruel experiments, rather than asking to fast track a study on a promising treatment. This has become a pattern in coverage related to the drug.
