This is a SAFE DRUG when properly administered. It is already deployed against covid everywhere. The only question should be how much we can make and why aren't we making more.

The reason you would prescribe it as prophylaxis is that tests are scarce, the research isn't terrible, it's used safely as medium term prophylaxis for malaria and people like taking a pill. If the nursing home residents are able to give proper consent why not give it to them?
