I don't know why not Skype when every institution already pays for MS Office but people went with Zoom because it's idiot-proof.

It took me like a week to get used to Teams over Webex and I just did a remote workshop week with 30 participants with 9 breakout rooms. No one had any trouble navigating through the rooms because we're not stupid. My only complaint is that there's no raise hand feature.

My sister is in education and she rails on how bad teams is and how much Zoom rules. I've used it to do family chat and i don't know who does their marketing but there's absolutely nothing zero zilch that stands out about it except this bullshit where pple are hijacking meetings.
