I don’t think the apocalyptic predictions some people have made will come to fruition lol
It's hard to be clear with the public on something like this. Realistically, a million or more deaths was never plausible in the US unless there's something we don't know. Covid moves fast but policy was going to intervene sooner or later.

On the other hand, we *could* have kept deaths below 10k if we had moved fast. As far as outcomes I'd be hard pressed to imagine a worse response than what we got.

Yea I think the governments response could’ve been better. But this is a virus and it will spread as quickly as it can. There was only so much that could’ve been done
