China's capacity to satisfy the world market is greater than France's capacity to satisfy its domestic market. The fact that this is the case is a consequence of the 40 years of neoliberalism (i.e. capitalism). Again, France and others can still chip in but it's gonna be peanuts

Neoliberalism - ie the process through which we ensured China would be the only country with substantial industrial capacity. Why do you think we did that? Do we just love the Chinese or is there some structural element? Maybe it's the slave labor they use to make things cheaply
