If you ever wanted to get into the medical field now's a great time since there'll be a growth in demand and a lot of vacancies opening up.
Looking at my calendar here you could get out of med school just in time for the next flu pandemic

I don't think so, personally, but it's gonna depend what wildlife gets it and whether or not they become a reservoir. It could be a West Africa/Afpak forever situation like polio I guess
