We've already seen that American corps like the NBA play by China's rules. They've established a left wing in the US that thinks of them as a put-upon colonial subject rather than an ambitious world power, and it's indistinguishable from someone being paid directly by the party.
We have to because China is making a huge mov. Everyone knows they make most of the medical gear the world uses. Now they're throwing it around like an act of charity while playing off their complicity in the virus origin. If it works they win the world. We play by their rules.
