I don't have a mask so I am seeking alternate means to cover my face when I need to go outside. If people find that amusing, OK. Good for you. If there are minor precautions I can take to avoid inhaling respiratory discharges from random people on the street, I will take those.

That’s really gross. What is wrong with people? This shit is scary. I’ve been wearing a mask whenever there are people around. I know surgical masks don’t actually help, but psychologically makes me feel better with a barrier there. Anyone who mocks that is a jerk and an idiot.

I've seen conflicting info on whether they actually help. Some say they do in fact help. Commonsense tells me creating a barrier that diminishes the likelihood of inhaling respiratory discharge would in fact help to some extent.

Because it spreads through asymptomatic cases, the general public using face barriers will protect in both directions. Governments and the WHO are being irresponsible not to recommend this.
