I would like to be less anxious than I am. I am not a fan of panic and have written a lot about how people fear the wrong stuff. But I'm also confused as to what possible good-faith argument there is that our situation won't be at least as bad as Italy's. Is there one?

A wolf appears to be at the door. There is as much virtue in recognizing this when it happens as there is in not overreacting otherwise.
At the door is an understatement. We should have gone to war with this thing when it broke out in Iran, Italy and SK all on the same day.

Go to war? Wars are actions were those involved sacrifice their lives for the greater good. A war would have been working through it. Now we have a situation where everyone is sacrificing. Now we are in a surrender situation.
