1) Doctors mostly wear the masks to protect the patient, not the doctor. If the doctor has virus, keeps patient safe. 2) Masks help wearer *if* used right. Without education and proper use they can make things worse. Most wearers touch face more often, false security, etc.
This disease has asymptomatic carriers and no test. Do you want everyone to cover their face or no one? Those are the options here.

That Chinese billionaire did more for the US than the CDC - he donated 500k masks & testing kits. I think the secret is that the US simply can’t get the masks needed. We need 250 million masks, ASAP.

I am afraid that if we want the fewest number of people to get infected, everyone needs to wear a mask at public places. That apparently is what China has been telling its citizens; they got better now. If you don’t believe China’s number, look into Taiwan, Hong Kong, same policy
