      No. This virus is not supernatural. China - and I'm not a fan, trust me - stopped it with Herculean efforts. South Korea and Singapore have tamed it. What they're doing in Italy will start to work too. We're just behind the eight ball.

      Exponential rates have no political friends. That said, China can (and did) apply truly draconian measures that won’t fly elsewhere. They undoubtably blew the beginning. And so are we, but we don’t have their remedies.

      We are far more equipped than China to deal with this. Unless by remedies you're referring to China's brutal measures of welding people inside their apts, allowing the sick to die in the streets, and censoring all public communications w the outside world. Yippie fucking China.

      Well, all comms have to be cleared with the former governor known for his ineptitude in handling an AIDS crisis in his state. I‘m not praising China. I am pointing out that despite the fact that they blew the beginning of this, they got on it. Aggressively. Not seeing that here

      And far more equipped? Again, not seeing it. Where are the tests? The healthcare coverage for the extreme intensive care that will be needed for the sick? We could be and should be more prepared, but we wasted the opportunities, both long and short term.

      10's of 1000's tests have gone out 4 mil more out by end of this week Healthcare workers in WA now tested fr their CARS! We have high-capacity military facilities if necessary. China's utter lack of transparency is the issue here. The WHOLE world is behind 8ball due to China

      Not true. Europe and America decided not to listen when China gave every indication this was bad. Countries that experienced SARS followed suit, as did Washington State.
