Dead serious. I've got a week of known secondary exposure to people who were known to be sharing space with a confirmed case and their hands are tied. The CDC is making shit up right now. No one has ramped up the production of test kits. There just aren't the tests kits.

The truth from the start has almost certainly been that the necessary chemicals are made in China and SK and are staying there. Trump, being fucking stupid as shit, never thought to build a factory or two

The parent corporation i work for gave millions to the china effort (no, it's not altruistic but I don't want to talk about that rn) But they aren't giving that money here because there's no one with their shit together to give it to.

Instead they're in damage control with their own people right now telling them they support whatever you need to do to be safe. Here's some hand sanitize. Don't come in this week if you don't feel like it. Someone could probably go awol for a 2 weeks and they wouldn't get fired.

The last I heard is that we could come in later to avoid rush hour trains, which seems like it would have limited utility if the virus survives on surfaces for 3 days.
