Anyone unfamiliar with the concept of triage? Fancy French word for "doctors leaving patients to die." This, possibly more than the actual clinical properties of c19, is responsible for the mortality curve that shows people surviving under a certain age cutoff.

That age cutoff isn't scientific, it's practical. As you run out of beds, it starts off at "over 80 with COPD." But it doesn't stay there. In Lombardy, it dropped to 65 *OR* pre-existing condition. That means high blood pressure, diabetes, maybe asthma. Don't get sick.

Nobody understands how bad this thing is. 20% of healthy adults are hospitalized. Once we reach capacity that’s deaths. We’re going to look like Iran in a month.

Thankfully my city is maybe a week behind, so we can try and keep it to "just" Wuhan levels. Prayers out to Seattle, SF, NYC, Denver and Boston.
