DemExit is precisely what they want. Nothing would please them more than mass exodus of "progressives" who have been threatening their power for the last four years.

Not saying I know the solution to all this. Just that DemExit is an emotional reaction. People are frustrated and sickened. But without disciplined long term strategy, the anger is wasted. And we'll walk into the same trap again and again without ever succeeding.
