Should I just avoid dubs in pretty much every scenario?

i think it's generally a budget thing, Disney would have a shitload more experience with actually having the resources to direct voice actors than whoever puts together some niche dub nobody's going to watch

we have that too, it's just that competent voice actors aren't going to do shit if you give them stiffly written lines and don't direct them
