And it shouldn't be. His winning in November depends on convincing a lot of ppl that he's a normal if old-fashioned Democrat, returning the party to its FDR days, not some unknown entity from the future.

He's the only "FDR Democrat" in the party. Every other major DNC figure is Third Way, including and especially Warren. If he can't fundamentally reorient the party there is no reason to throw hard earned money or valuable time at him.

For months we've been told the general election is the time and place for this rather than the primary, and that's why he has to hold back against his opponents within the party and try to shore up the MSNBC crowd. Now he has to wait until [???]
