Prediction: A Coronavirus vaccine will be available “in a few months” (as Trump says) but will not be fully tested on humans for over a year, as experts say. Perhaps the emergency plan is a vaccine that is close enough in design to existing vaccines to be deemed safe.
There was a study done in which children were found to be at higher risk of contracting other illnesses, after they have a flu shot. At the moment, they are telling people to run out and have a flu shot. Recipe for disaster, I think.
The flu vaccine advice is probably good. We need to free up as many beds as possible. The vaccine trials I was referencing were for SARS 1.
