i don't mean to be seriousposting so much but im a touch worried about the converging series of issues which might quick lead into hundreds of millions of deaths if things continue to go predictably wrong in the stupid ways they often tend to.

im wondering what kinda human instincts will kick in--did the spanish flu help end wwi? Did the black death end the mongol conquest? How will coronavirus land on south asia? How about africa? central and south america? Should brazil have canceled carnival?
I will say I'm really fucking glad I don't live in Mumbai or Lagos. It appears to have survived the heat in Singapore so far.

Singapore is probably doing the best of any country in the world, but it won't matter too much if their neighbors do nothing. The East coast of Africa is all recent Chinese infrastructure but those countries with their presence still don't seem to be testing?
