punk scene seems to refresh eternally as it attracts new dudes who wanna try, but then they get good at their instruments so it's not punk anymore, clearing space for new bands
I spent like six months in high school trying to find the good punk music and it's basically just Misfits and The Adolescents. Lots of good punk-tinged heavy metal and some listenable pop punk but straight up punk, emo, hardcore. All that shit blows
