No, he's not. Bernie Sanders is a social Democrat. Not a socialist or even a democratic-socialist.
He is. He's making a play for representation of the will and intellect of the working class. Single payer might not be worker ownership of the means of production, but as a demand it is a weapon of the workers and that's how Sanders is using it.
