If you think Bloomberg has the potential to take the presidency and he isn't paying you, you should think long and hard about how you talk about Trump.
He's not planning to win the nomination fairly, he's hoping to buy the result of a contested convention. The general does look pretty hopeless for him now, eight or so months out. Things can change though. There's no credible counterforce *except* Trump if he takes the nom.

Well sure who knows what will happen in eight months. But taking probability into account it's pretty low on my list of worries

He is currently by far the most likely result of a contested convention, which is arguably the most likely outcome of the current race. It’s way too close for my comfort.
