You don't need to make that trade off. Voting for the most electable candidate in this race doesn't require you to compromise your values.

That's the point of my post. If your priority is beating Trump, you can pick some one who can do that without compromising your values. People skipping over the choice of candidate to pick Bloomberg can't credibly use "beating Trump" as an excuse.
What if his poll numbers go up as a result of the unprecedented astroturf propaganda campaign he's running?
