It's crazy to think back on 2004, when I was in my early teens and without any particular political commitments. It felt like a complete toss-up. It's hard to believe Kerry was a prominent anti-Vietnam voice, until you consider what the ANSWER alums look like now.

I don't think Trump is anywhere near as bad as W. The public didn't really know how bad W was until 05, because the Dems bungled the case so badly sucking his dick after 9/11

A lot of things would be different were it not for Cheney, but he was part of the package deal. He and Bush governed as a unit, and W's petty personal grudge against Saddam was probably necessary to Cheney's grand psychotic ambitions.
