Compare the house in Gone Home to the house in PT, which came out around the same time. Hell, compare any part of GH to PT. The craftsmanship is abysmal across the board.

Craftsmanship is not what I look for in good art, it’s about how it makes me feel. Overly technical music theory bands masturbating their instruments often does nothing for me compared to a simple folk song with easy chord progression. Gone Home was a subversion of horror.

It worked because you went in knowing nothing, having your anxieties and fears alleviated while you pieced together a narrative behind the setting you were exploring. We probably just gonna have to agree to disagree on this one.
