      The critique of 'electoralism' is implicit in the Sanders movement. The nice thing about single payer is it helps almost everyone in the country, it's wildly popular, it's been done elsewhere, and it's impossible. Everything we know about the US confirms this.

      Medicare For All *is* the rupture. Because we believe the system can't provide this simple, reasonable, cheap demand, we can be sure that it will discredit itself in the process and turn directly on the workers, clearing the fog of indirect domination so battle lines can form.

      Most of the people on here understand this, which is why enemies of the workers push for impossible, unpopular or otherwise counterproductive demands to be incorporated into a massive 'left agenda.' This will allow the consensus to continue functioning without strain.

      We don't need an agenda, we need a new kind of world to live in. If you really want that world, don't bother with the five year plan. Don't kid yourself about street gangs or small arms. Meet people where they are: on single payer. They know it's impossible too.
