A woman cheated on her man and instead of owning up to it she put a judicial gag order on him to prevent him making any public statement about her and sicced her bluecheck game journalist friends on him in the name of feminism. Conservatives saw an opportunity.
This happened because there's an entire industry of layabout bloggers who write for VC-funded astroturf on the west coast and she's friends or blackmail buddies with 90 percent of them. The last guy she accused of anything killed himself and his sister apologized to her.

It really does look more and more like two major internet powers (PMC media people, Anonymous and the hangons of both) just went "fuck it" and launched every weapon they had at each other while higher powers decided to elongate and intensify the conflict to serve their interests.
